My complete Jerome Handicap Preview can be read here, this week I had a chance handicap the Jerome Stakes with Candice from Cappingwithcandice.blogspot.com and discuss the Jerome Stakes, bankroll strategies and we each took a stab at 5 horses we will be paying attention to on the Triple Crown Trail in 2014.
Candice and I also discussed Bankroll Strategies:
I feel Noble Moon is a standout and at even money is worth a play. I’m putting $20 to win on Noble Moon. If you are playing pick 3s and pick 4’s Noble Moon is the most likely winner.
Candice agreed that Noble Moon is a single, but rather than taking even money on Noble Moon, she felt that a higher risk, higher reward ticket was possible. She liked the 6-7-8th race sequence for the pic 3. She thinks if the tote board tilts on Noble Moon the payoff could blow up if Scotland were to win.
Candice: Pick 3 (1/4/2013 AQU R6,7,8): 1,6,7 / 2,6,8 / 1,2 –> $18
We also discussed our 5 horses to watch this winter and spring:
